Founded in 1969, the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) was a loosely structured group of gay rights activists who were interested in the radical sexual liberation for all people. This collection consists of publicity material, photographs, correspondence, clippings, and writings that relate primarily to the Los Angeles group of the Gay Liberation Front.

Menerth attended Pennsylvania State University and was an acting coach at the University of Miami. He continued his acting and vocal coaching in West Hollywood, California, where he was a literary agent for Dale Garrick International.

Personal correspondence, photographs, and chainmail clothing designs of Los Angeles resident Peter Thomas, 1961-2003. The photographs include images of friends, family, and gay leather and motorcycle events. Thomas relocated to Los Angeles after being disowned by his father; he worked at the Pacific Design Center and as a professional escort. He died of complications related to AIDS on March 4, 2003.
